Thank you for the powerful solution like FET.

We are trying explore the tool for our university.

However, we got stuck at designing the input for electives.

A sample scenario is explained below.

    3rd year CSE has 6 sections (3CSEA, 3CSEB....,3CSEF) (6 *70 = 420 students)
This year students have to take 5 core courses (say CC1,CC2,CC3,CC4 and CC5) and one elective from 4 choices (one from E1,E2, E3, and E4).
All 4 electives will be handled by different teachers.
All 4 electives should be run simultaneously.
2 electives (E1 and E2) have 30 number of students and other two electives have 180 each.
We have rooms of capacity 50 (10 rooms), 75 (20 rooms) and 200 (2 rooms).
University usually announces a common slot for electives, which should be followed by Departments.
    Total 5 days and 8 slots/day
Duration of each core course is 1+1+2 (4hrs) and elective is 1+1 (2hr)

It would be great help if you could help us to prepare the input for FET (preferably through CSV).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you

Hello! You are welcome!

I attach a very small example file, with only the students as needed. I divided year 3CSE by 2 categories, see them if you divide again (but don't modify). I then modified in the groups dialog the number of students per group.

You can now add activities for groups, and add constraints same starting time for elective activities.

You can export as CSV to see how it looks and imitate it.
