I wanting to know the best procedure in manually allocating a number of free lessons (or Non-Instructional Time - NIT) to a teacher. For instance, a Teacher may have 3 or 4 free lessons in the week, which I want to specify a specific time for, in some instances. Rather than just have a blank space by blocking out a lesson for a teacher, I would like it to show "NIT" in this lesson. Should I create a subject called NIT and allocate it to each teacher multiple times an activity with no students. Or is there a better way to create these NIT/Non-Contact lessons?

If you don't want to count these NIT activities, you should add a constraint teacher not available. Otherwise, for instance, if you have max 4 hours per day for this teacher, and 1 NIT in a day, this teacher may have at most 3 other activities.

If you don't care about counting, add for this teacher NIT activities without students, min days between them 0 when you add the activity, split into as many as you want per week. So no constraint min days between activities is added. Then preferred times for subject NIT and this teacher.
