Split Activities to use the same room from a pool of rooms

Hi,

We have a set of lab rooms with PCs that use VMware and hold local configurations for the students.  So for a course, the student must come back to the same room for each of their lab sessions.

I have created Lab tagged Activities that go into any one of a set of lab rooms fine, BUT when a task is split, I need each of the activities to use the SAME room - whichever it was.  With large numbers of students I cannot just allocate that entire course to use just one lab, it would be too full, and any manual sub-allocation of rooms will create some unfortunate issues later on.


Is there any way to get this to work cleanly?

Otherwise - great product!

I wanted at a moment to add constraint activities same room, but it is too risky (potential bugs are critical and the user may input the wrong constraints), and also the users said that it was not too useful.

Reviving an old topic: there is now constraint Activities occupy max rooms (in this case, max 1 room) (starting with FET-5.18.0).
