I've reached this place via some educations forums on my country, it is highly praised but mostly cant use it cause they think its user interface is complicated cause they mostly needed the school part of the program.

Since the data is saved as XML I'm thinking of using that data and writing a program to simplify the process of making a schedule. Its only that I do not like C, do not know why, too much complicated for my old brain I guess :-P I'll use vb.net or vb6 to write the program but that will make it windows only.

Any how attached are screen shot of a draft am working on .. any suggestions before I really start coding it!

It looks nice. I cannot give you any advice now, because I am not a good interface designer.

You could even take advantage of the command line version of FET, to call it from your interface and run it on the resulted .fet file.

the idea of that wizard look fine.
of course i know a wizard doesn't contain all options, but i think a import one is missing.
Your activities have for example only "duration=2". (compare image 5)
What does it mean?
a) one hour at two different days (good to subject geography, politics, ...)
b) 2 hours at a single day (good to subject sport, maybe art, ...)

of course also other options are "missing", but maybe not imported to a wizard, because not all (mayne) schools use it. (for example team teaching activities)

Saad

Yes, There should be a kind of check box to indicate lessons at a single day or not.
Those were very sketchy, not even near alpha :-P

Hello Saad
أهلا سعد وتحية من المغرب
the wizard looks quite interesting
The idea of a wizard in itself is very good
I am sure it will improve FET user interface
FET has a very strong algorithm, it lacks only an atractive GUI user interface in order to be widely adopted by educational community
I will look forward to hear more from you

Best regards
