Hi,

I dont'understand how to configure the application in order to manage the following situation:

activity: physical education
room constraint: gym
group of student: 1A

activity: physical education
room constraint: gym
group of student: 1B

activity: physical education
room constraint: gym
group of student: 1C

activity: physical education
room constraint: gym
group of student: 1D

activity: physical education
room constraint: gym
group of student: 1E

...

The gym can host 4 activities simultaneously.

How can i setup the application in order to schedule not more than 4 activities in the gym room at the same time?

Hello,

Either add 4 rooms: Gym1..Gym4, and preferred rooms these 4 rooms, or activities max 4 simultaneous in selected time slots.

Thank you very much for you quick answer!!

So i have to create 4 different preferred room constraints for each group of students, is this right?

Because I tried to add in the same contsraint more than one room but it seems not possible

Alternately, where can i find the menu to set : "activities max 4 simultaneous in selected time slots."?

I think it's much easier to add the constraint "max simultaneous".
You can find this constraint here:
Time -> Activities -> Others (2) -> Max simultaneous activities from a set in selected time slots. Just add these activities, select all time slots and set max simultaneous = 4.
Regarding the space constraint, you might add:
Space -> A subject has a set of preferred rooms (subject = physical education, preferred rooms = Gym1, Gym2, Gym3, Gym4).

Thank you very much!

The first option ("Max simultaneous activities from a set in selected time slots.") unfortunately doesn't work, the program cannot sheduled the activivities

The second option instead ("Space -> A subject has a set of preferred rooms") is working well!

This is really strange. Could you upload your .fet file?

Do NOT use the max simultaneous activities constraint in your case. It is unneeded and only complicating things.

Only add roomS (with S!) constraint and add all 4 gyms.
