Bug Report: Cannot login to fetviewer.com after successful password reset

I am experiencing a persistent login issue on fetviewer.com. I have reset my password 4 times. Each time, the reset process says it is successful, but when I try to log in with the new password, it says the password is incorrect.

I have already cleared my browser cache, disabled autofill, and ensured I am using the token from the latest email, but the issue persists. Could you please check if there is an issue with my account or a database synchronization bug?

I was able to access the system only by clicking the direct link from the 'Forgot Password' email to bypass the login screen.

However, if I log out and try a normal login using the newly set password, the system still says the password is incorrect. It seems the new password is not saving correctly to the database. Could you please look into this synchronization issue?

Dear Rabs,

Once you logged in via one time link, it automatically directs you to your profile page and then you can update your password & save your account.

Thank you for the instructions, but I have already done exactly that.

After logging in via the one-time link, I was directed to my profile page. I entered my new password there and clicked save. However, if I log out and try a normal login from the homepage using that exact newly saved password, the system still says it is incorrect.

The database is definitely not saving the updated password from the profile page. I am still forced to use the "forgot password" link every single time I need to log in. Please investigate this bug.

Thank you for your detailed feedback.

I have investigated the issue on my side but have not been able to reproduce the reported behavior. I tested the complete password reset process, including requesting a password reset, logging in using the one-time link, setting a new password on the profile page, logging out, and signing in again with the newly created password. In my tests, the new password was saved successfully and the normal login worked as expected.

Based on these results, the system does not appear to have a general issue with saving updated passwords.

If you are still experiencing this problem, could you please let me know:

• Which web browser you are using.
• Whether you are using the password manager or manually entering the new password.

Please notice that when you copy a text from notepad etc. for passwords, a blank character might have been suffxied to your password. Also pay attention to you keyboard language which may switch between apps in your operating system in case you are using special characters in your password, there is a high chance that it will trick you.

�2. I am typing the password manually.
�I will carefully reset it one more time and strictly type the new password manually to ensure absolutely no blank spaces or special characters are copied by mistake. I will update you if it still fails.

I apologize, it was my mistake. I realized I was inputting my email address in the login field instead of my exact username. The password reset and login are actually working perfectly. You can close this bug report.
