Hi,
I've been using FET for several years now, in each time that use FET I make many versions of the required tables for my college. indeed it has many powerful features with a simple interface. this year I had tried the "sorting" features with teachers with existing times. although this might seem a small feature, but I first had a fear that sorting name can confuse the time constraints of teachers after sorting. However, FET proved to have that into account. and the time constraints remained correctly  attached to each teach after sorting.

I've continued to used many features like activity planning, generate multiple tables, using colors in interface, showing soft conflicts  after table generation, courses table table.

Hi,
this is the 4th time that we use FET for our college and indeed it has proven its functionality and power. I'm glad with the new feature of limiting count of rooms for a set of activities. also activity planning is working nice.

I've used FET months ago, and it helped me a lot, and I've used it again and got to know more features in it like activity planning and viewing soft constraints conflicts...
FET provided me with almost what I needed from a timetabling software, may be few features could be added in future, but so far it is an excellent tool.

I've used FET recently for some business, and I'm also a developer who worked few years a go to develop a software of my own for that purpose...and I think that FET made excellent help to us, and it has good support to unicode -since I needed it for non-English text. and I really admire the speed and efficiency of its algorithm , which I think it supports some backtracking.

so, to summarize my words; it's really really awesome software which had very good efforts in it.

well, I've replaced teachers names with anonymous names, and some other details from the new attached file in this reply, and the timetables results are made for public announcement yearly, so I guess no personal privacy problems exist now.
our institute is at Egypt, Dakahlia
it's educational for university studies in computers and technology by the way.

first, I would thank FET team for that wonderful software, which really really helped us a lot in our college (in Egypt). and here's our input file(which contains Arabic text- which wasn't a problem since FET supports unicode well), and I hope it helps others.

not all teachers with that condition. a particular small set of them.


about the first solution: I think the idea of "pseudoactivity" is suitable to my case, but I have problem with that:

our day has 6 periods, and if I made pseudoactivity for 6 periods in a day that could conflict with other constraint to " not have more than 4 real activity periods per day", I faced a similar problem when I made a free day for students. so, is there any work around for that conflict?

about the second solution: do you mean that I make max days between activities to be zero, and let max days of work =4? please confirm, if so that would more easier.

first, I've used FET recently, and I really appreciate your efforts in such application, it's really helpful.

my question is: we have some teachers that need to work 4-5 days per week (which is 6 days), and they need to have all their days continuous, so their holidays are at the week start or end, but not in the middle, and they don't refuse to work at week start or at week end, but they can't work on week start AND end, so is there a way to put that constraint?
