Semesters, Trimesters, Quarters

Hi,

I've read the help and the forum and I cannot find anything about how FET handles classes that are split during the year.

Example:
English is held all year
Chorus is 1/2 year
Health is 1/4 year

Can FET help decide when a course will be taught? Or do I need to do a schedule for the smallest unit, in this case 4 schedules one for each quarter?

You can only do a timetable for a week (with max 28 days, a "FET" week). You cannot tell FET that some activities are held only in the first trimester. So, you can do the timetable for only a trimester. Fix some activities, add activities, remove, then generate for second trimester (to have basic activities fixed).

what I do in this case, when I have a different subject in each term, is create another teacher. For example Teacherofhealth1 and teacherofhealth2. Teacherofenglish1 and teacherofenglish2.

I will schedule those activites simultaneously, so these students will do health in the first term with teacherofhealth1, and english in the second term with teacherofenglish2.

the other half teachers, on those other terms, might or might not have other classes.

I don't know if I made myself clear.
