Displaying Date in Timetable, setting public holidays and setting start date

Hi,

Thanks for the wonderful program.
I tried it and it's powerful.

The company I am with is a small company with different intakes of students every week.
Each intakes of students need to complete a series of modules (eg. 20 modules) in order to graduate.

1. How do I display the date in the timetable (as the course only last for a few months per intake)?
2. How do I set break for the public holiday on specific dates (so that there will not be any modules)?
3. How do I set the start date of each intake of students (so that I can combine classes with other intakes when intake size is very small)?
4. How do I combine classes with other intakes when intake size is very small?

1. FET cares only about "weeks". You can add 35 days in the official version. It is possible to increase that value if you need it (but i don't recommend it). You can see the date as day name.
2. You normally don't do/need that with a school timetabling software, since this is normally part of a substitution software. So you add that holidays into that software (like TiTiTo. In that case also your 1. question is much easier, since you normally care only about 5-14 days in the timetabling software. The dates for the whole year are automatically printed by the substitution software.) If you want to mimic that with the timetabling software: just don't add those days.
3. hmm... i guess you are mixing again timetabling and substitution software. Or do your students all start in different weeks? If you try to mimic all days of a year in a timetabling software, then just use the not available constraints. But that kind of timetabling is normally not used at schools. (Nearly) all schools do "weekly" timetables and just repeat those "weekly" timetables. (Repeat it weekly; repeat it every second week; repeat it just 6 weeks in a row; ...) The start times of those tables are not set in a timetabling software, they are set in the substitution software.
4. Just add all students into a single activity.
