Dear Sir,
I have been a user of FET since the year 2010. Have seen its evolution, like earlier there was no print option then it was added afterwards & so many other layout , gui & operational enhancements.

Still i face a lot of issues in printing time tables. I either have to copy paste the generated time table to word or excel & do a lot of formatting.

This becomes quite a tedious task. At times we have to generate several variants of the same time table & then it really becomes tiresome. Thus, i request you to kindly work upon the print layout of time tables a bit.

For examples: In place of printing the names of the teachers in each cell in Student's Timetable. We can have a table printed below the timetable stating the teacher for each subject. just like a legend. It really makes time table more neat & clean.

Also, the total load of each teacher should be indicated in the header of the teacher's time table.

Even the use css level doesn't provide clarity so please work on this ... especially try to include the above 2 features.

Further, in the free periods time table, there should  be an option to enable/disable the "Must come early, Stay LOnger" etc comments, as it creates confusions at times.

Thanks in anticipation of a new release very soon.

you are right, printing should be improved.
you can already make the tables smaller by hiding teachers, rooms and activity tags (by css).
printing the legend sounds easy, but in fact it is not because of at least 2 points:
a) some activities might be modified (modified subactivity) and so there might be more teachers
b) teachers might be even changed
so it isn't clear anymore in which period he is.

Also rooms might be different.

Also some guys want to do it with rooms only, some with trachers only and some with activitiy tags. So even this are already 8 different combinations.

I must think about that how to do that best.

In my opinion you are wrong with the next request: printing the load

printing the teachers load will increase the size, not reduzing it.
in my opinion printing the load will be also "wrong" in that table. Why? Because reading the load at that time will be much too late. If a teacher read the load and notice that it is wrong, then you done all the generating for nothing. You must check the load before generating the timetable.

about "teachers free periods". You can already disable them by css. I am not sure if we should disable them by the gui. The problem is that disableing them will be a problem for the first and the last period. You won't have teachers for substitution if you can't see them. So you will be never able to substitute teachers in that slots. So i can't see an advanatge in disabling them.
