Hi,

Group A: A1, A2 - halves of the group A. Other subgroups: A/B-lang1 (1/4 of A), A/B-lang2 (1/4 of A), A/B-lang3 (1/4 of A), A/B-lang4 (1/4 of A).
Group B: B1, B2 - halves of the group B. Other subgroups: A/B-lang1 (1/4 of B), A/B-lang2 (1/4 of B), A/B-lang3 (1/4 of B), A/B-lang4 (1/4 of B).

I've got a subgroup (A/B-lang1) made of two diffrent groups (A and B). I'd like the activities with that subgroup to not colide with other activities with subgroups A1,A2,B1,B2. How to do it?

Hello,

I am not sure I got it correct, but please have a look at the students' structure in the attached file. I added a year Y and divided by 3 categories: (A, B), (1, 2), (lang1, lang2, lang3, lang4).

I did not understand your attached picture.

If you could send some of your timetables I might have a look at them.

Please let me know.

Hello!

I think that this is an issue of the description of your student groups structure (tree structure).
If I understood correctly, you have two Years (A and B). Each Year consists of two Groups.
Year A consists of the Groups A1 and A2. Year B consists of the Groups B1 and B2.
Also, it seems that for example the A/B-lang1 group consists of a subgroup of A1, a subgroup of A2, a subgroup of B1 and a subgroup of B2.
If the above are correct, you should just care about the description of your groups (the tree structure of the years/groups/subgroups).

So:
1) Create the Years A and B.
2) Create the Groups A1 and A2 for Year A.
3) Create the Groups B1 and B2 for Year B.
4) Create the subgroups A1-lang1, A1-lang2, A1-lang3, A1-lang4 for Group A1.
5) Create the subgroups A2-lang1, A2-lang2, A2-lang3, A2-lang4 for Group A2.
6) Create the subgroups B1-lang1, B1-lang2, B1-lang3, B1-lang4 for Group B1.
7) Create the subgroups B2-lang1, B2-lang2, B2-lang3, B2-lang4 for Group B2.

For the activity (or activities) of lang1, the group should be (A1-lang1 + A2-lang1 + B1-lang1 + B2-lang1)
For the activity (or activities) of lang2, the group should be (A1-lang2 + A2-lang2 + B1-lang2 + B2-lang2)
For the activity (or activities) of lang3, the group should be (A1-lang3 + A2-lang3 + B1-lang3 + B2-lang3)
For the activity (or activities) of lang4, the group should be (A1-lang4 + A2-lang4 + B1-lang4 + B2-lang4)

If you add this student group structure (tree structure), along with the correct description of the activities (regarding the groups), FET will cause no "collision" between the activities.

Vangelis.

No, i have many Years (1, 2, 3) and each of them has Groups (A and B). Now i want to divide that group into 2 subgroups (A1, A2) that have half of the students each AND the other subgroups lang1, lang2, lang3, lang4 (1/4 of group each). Lang subgroups (group A) share time, space and teacher with lang subgroups from group B. The problem is when i do that the activities collide with activities for my other subgroups (A1,A2) (screen in attachments).

I hope the attached file will do what you need. Please let me know.

Yeah, thank you. I think that's what I was looking for

Remember: you don't need to add all the subgroups manually - a simple Divide year automatically by categories will do it, as I specified in my first post.
