Turn off subgroups

Hi Liviu

I am packing a timetable with 35 classes.
Each of grade 10A - 10G; 11A - 11G and 12A - 12G has numerous categories.
Not all grades has categories and no group has more than 4 categories.

How do I turn off/deactivate subgroups that were automatically created, THAT I DO NOT NEED?
I have packed 10A - 10D (still has to pack 10E - 10G); 11A - 11G and 12A - 12G.

The time spent for packing the timetable is already up to 25 minutes! And I still have to add 8A - 8G and 9A - 9G.
I suspect the subgroups created automatically (that I do not need is the problem).

Please help.

Hello, Eric,

I do not understand. What means "packing"?

You are only allowed to remove the subgroups which consist of zero real students. Go through the subgroups dialog and click "Remove everywhere" for each such subgroup. But I am not sure you will obtain a great improvement in speed.

Maybe you could send your file (if private, by email).

Packing simply means compiling a timetable.

I am sorry, but I cannot spot the problem. Your timetable is too difficult, maybe impossible. Maybe there is a bug in the activities.
