Hi guys!

Is there a possibility to add an option to show long names of hours in timetables views?
(I know it's possible to switch long names and names in my case, but then I can't to get them to be unique.)

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

For the HTML timetables or Print, it is possible to change the Settings > Timetables -> Data to print in timetables.

If you really need them in the interface, I think I will try to implement this. How do you suggest to add the setting (I mean what name for the setting and check boxes)?

Should I also consider this also in the constraints with tables?

This should be done also for days.

I know and it's an awesome option!

"Long hours names" maybe in the group of check boxes together with students/subjects/merge/colors? It could be visually nearly as long as 2 existing cb-s together.

Yes please if possible! I would be thankful to the grave! :)

OK, I think I will do it.

However, I think it is better to have a global setting for these, since there is not enough space in the dialogs. Or maybe a check box, "Long names" - but it is only for hours and days, not for teachers, students, subjects, and tags...

So, maybe add a complex dialog, like the data to print in timetables:

Data to show in timetables:

1) Use long names (as opposed to names) for days in the constraints with tables.
2) Use long names (as opposed to names) for hours in the constraints with tables.
3) Use long names (as opposed to names) for days in the timetables.
4) Use long names (as opposed to names) for hours in the timetables.
5) Use long names (as opposed to names) for teachers in the timetables.
6) Use long names (as opposed to names) for students in the timetables.
7) Use long names (as opposed to names) for subjects in the timetables.
8) Use long names (as opposed to names) for activity tags in the timetables.

Or, even better, use radio buttons, so these last 4 can choose also the code.

That may be a smarter solution!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  :)

You're welcome! :)

I will try. Please stay tuned (maybe tomorrow afternoon ready), to test.

Dear Zeljko,

I am so sorry, I began a large part of this modification, but it doesn't come out as I like it... I don't think I can add this feature. But I will think some more.

But: couldn't you name the hours "1" and "1 " (add a space in the second one)? This will solve your problems.

Dear Liviu,

thanks for your effort and I'm sorry for bothering you.

Hello, Zeljko,

Absolutely no problem! I like to add improvements to the program, and I thank you for the suggestion. It is me who apologizes, because I told you I would do it. However, it is more complicated than I thought. Also, it is not exactly in the spirit of FET, which uses unique names throughout the interface. Adding long names in some parts is not a uniform treatment.

But doesn't the trick "1" and "1 " work for you?
