FET homepage improvements

Dear all, and especially @g.theodoroy ,

I would like to keep the FET homepage at a minimum necessary, as I don't have experience with HTML and CSS. However, I might need some advice, because I see that on my smartphone the page looks ugly, with the menu on the top-left very small and the other parts large enough (I refer to the font).

So, could you tell how to improve this? I need to understand all the new code and accept it, so I cannot accept a major rewrite of the page. But I am willing to understand.

George Theodoroy, I asked especially you this because I saw the magic you did with your program.

Thanking @g.theodoroy for his help and kindness in improving the homepage of FET. It should look better now.

George designed the menu on the left as an optional feature (activated with a menu button), if the browser window is small, so the FET homepage looks beautiful on a smartphone. I updated also my entire site, which should be more correct (HTML speaking) and looking better.
