We are preparing a new snapshot, with a very nice new constraint: teacher(s)/students (set) occupy max sets of time slots from selection (suggested by Sérgio Augusto Dias Castro). He suggested it for some Brazilian institutions in which the timetable has 3 shifts, and the teachers can only work in 2 out of these 3 on each day.

It seems to be working. I did it only for the teachers, and I hope tomorrow to do it also for students (it will be much easier).

Is it a generalization of the last constraint: two mutually exclusive sets of time slots for a teacher, which would become a choice among three sets?

Yes, you can specify max 1 or 2, and choose any number of sets of time slots. In our case, choose 3 sets and specify max = 2.
