Divisions remain the same for all promotions

Hi,

thank you for this forum.

I'm new in using FET, and very thankful for this software!

I created several promotions for french system, and then wanted to create divisions. I would like to create different divisions according divisions, but it's impossible, the divisions are the same for all the promotions and I cannot change this.

Is it normal ?

Is ther a solution ?

It is possible to set different divisions per year.
Sadly i don't understand your request. Can you please explain a bit more detailed what you need and what you try?

Every time I make a division in a year, it cancels and replace all older division in the other years.

You mean you want to divide years automatically by selecting categories/divisions, and the split year dialog keeps the last introduced data? This is normal. Say you divide Y1(categ. 1: A, B, categ. 2: Boys, Girls). Then divide year Y2 (categ. 1: Maths, Physics, categ. 2: English, French, German). The dialog will retain the settings for the last year (Y2), but Y1 will retain (categ. 1: A, B, categ. 2: Boys, Girls).

What you replied is what I find normal and thought I would get, but in fact the divisions made in Y2 are also automatically applied to year Y1, so according your example what I get is :

Y2 = Y1 = (categ. 1: Maths, Physics, categ. 2: English, French, German).

Maths, Physics, En, Fr, Ger - you will see these in the split year dialog (because the dialog retains the last divided settings). But if you check the subgroups or groups dialogs for year Y1, you will see that it is split by A, B, Boys, Girls. If you want to divide again the year Y1, you need to enter again the corresponding divisions (this is a bad behaviour of FET).
