I have the feeling that after I generate the information I already have, the data gets stuck...
Activities that I didnt give a preferred time slot 'gain control' over that slot, and if I want to change its designation I find it very hard (I need to delete the activity and write it again).
how can I release the data again?

I am not sure I understand correctly. If you want to unlock an activity, you can remove the constraint in the dialog An activity has a preferred starting time.

but the activity doesnt have a prefered starting time (I didnt give one, and when I checked after generating it still doesnt have this constraint). yet, if i try to change the time slot the activity was inserted to (as you advised me yesterday about an other time slot, and yesterday I also had to delete the activity, make the break and then write the activity again) I get the message that "constraint not added -there must be an other contraint of this type..."

You cannot have 2 break constraints. Edit the one already existing.

Break means that no teacher or students set can work in the periods marked with X.

there cannot be 2 break constraints during the week (one on sunday and anotheron friday)?

Combine them into a single constraint. Add more X marks in the same constraint :-)
