Saludos:

Grupo 1°A
- Actividad: Lógica (4 horas semanales)

Horario:

Lunes:
07:00 - Álgebra
08:00 - Lógica
09:00 - Química I
10:00 - Lógica

Miércoles:
07:00 - Química I

Lunes:
07:00 - Álgebra
08:00 - Lógica
09:00 - Lógica
10:00 - Química I

Miércoles:
07:00 - Química I
08:00 - Biología
09:00 - Lógica
10:00 - Lógica
11:00 - Álgebra

Agradeceremos que alguien nos oriente.

Hello!

Please excuse me for writing in English:

You can add constraints min days between activities. If the weight does not matter, make it 0%. Consecutive if same day = true, and FET won't place more than two activities on the same day. These constraints are added automatically when you add a split activity (default weight = 95%).

Hi Liviu,
I am in a similar situation. I'm trying and it doesn't work for me. Maybe it's because I have hours of recess (break) in between.

I explain my situation. I have, from Monday to Friday, 3 hours  then a break and then 3 hours. I want the subjects to be divided into blocks of 2 hours even if they ever have a break in between.

Example on Monday:
hour 1:  SIS
Hour 2:  SIS
Hour 3:  PRO
break
Hour 4:  PRO
Hour 5:  ENT
Hour 6:  ENT

The subjects can be 3, 4 ... up to 8 hours per week

I need to keep the break in order to add activities to teachers.

When I generate the activities, I can divide them into several days and into blocks of 2 hours (example 2+2, or 2+2+2+1), but then there is no solution because the break is considered

Hello, Fran,

Unfortunately, an indivisible (sub)activity with duration 2 cannot be divided over a break.

I don't understand

, because you can simply do not add breaks and the timetable will be overall the same.

Otherwise, maybe a lot of constraints two activities grouped might help.

Fran

Hola Liviu,

Gracias!

Hello Liviu,

I need breaks to put recess guards for teachers. While the students are resting some teachers are watching that there are no problems.

Then it can be solved with another point of view, leaving the teaching hours together and at the end indicating the breaks, even if it is not a timeline.

Thanks!

Break means that students and teachers are not available. I think you meant constraints students set not available, but the teachers are available. In this case, yes, I think putting in the end the students set not available slots and considering them to be available for teachers and in real life in the middle of the day - this should work - with only the gaps for teachers not being calculated correctly, if you consider the gaps for the teachers.

Yes, that's it.

I will try like this.

Is there a way to place an activity with duration 2 or more skipping the periods not available for students? I think the answer is also no.

It is also not allowed (but I thought you were referring to this in your previous post, not to two activities consecutive if same day).

Fran

Hora 1
Hora 2
Hora 3
Hora 4
Hora 5
Hora 6
Recreo

Gracias nuevamente y saludos!

Thank you very much Liviu, I just wanted to be sure that you cannot divide a block of 2 in a break or in a period not allowed to students (playtime).

It is already clarified and I think I can get a good schedule considering the playtime (periods not allowed to students) at the end like:

Hour 1
Hour 2
Hour 3
Hour 4
Hour 5
Hour 6
Playtime

Thanks again and regards!

You are welcome, Fran!

Unfortunately, the teachers' gaps constraints won't come up good. If you don't care about teachers' gaps, then it is not a problem.

If you care about the teachers' gaps, you might want to remove this Playtime hour and its activities, and add the Playtime activities manually (which should be easy?). It still isn't perfect for teachers' gaps constraints, but it is better.

Fran

I care about teachers' gaps  :-\.
In fact, I would like to obtain a schedule with the minimum number of gaps for teachers, due to the COVID theme, to minimize time in the teaching center. So I'm thinking of doing a separate schedule just for playtime. This way it could work almost perfectly.
