Hello!
In our school we must do year long projects about a problem we choose. I chose timetable creation because our school uses an old and slow system. At first my plan was to start developing a program on my own but when i found fet i didn't see the point of it because there already was one.

I don't know if this is the place to ask questions about it so sorry if I'm not supposed to ask them here.

I want to ask some questions to FET developers to do a chapter in my research with an interview:

1.What was the reason for creating FET timetables?
2.Do you think the problem is solved, or could there be a more efficient and easier way to build timetables.
Is there a program that you know of that creates timetables faster than FET?
3.Do you think the algorhitm could be improved.

Thank you in advance :)

Hello and welcome to the forum!  :)

No problem, this is a good place to ask these questions. Me and Volker, we are the authors of FET, and you can ask us questions. I am ready to answer to the interview and I think Volker would like to answer as well (unfortunately he is busy in these times).

Did you use FET with success/insuccess, or not yet?
