Hello Liviu!
I have a problem that I have never encountered before, maybe FET can do it, please answer?
There are 4 classes: 10A1,2,3,4,5 students are divided into 3 groups of classes, group 1 is 10A1,2; group 2 is 10A3,4; group 3 is 10A5. Total study time is 4 periods divided into two sessions (4=2+2). In each group divided into 2 small groups: 1 group of students learning Japanese (2 consecutive periods,) 1 group of students learning English +Stem + life skills (2 consecutive periods). Know that there are 3 Japanese teachers, 3 English teachers and 1 Stem teacher, 1 life skills teacher. Stem and life skills can be combined with strange students to study at the same time.

Hello, ngo,

I do not like it to say, but your phrasing is very difficult to understand. I did not understand too much of your words.

Please read how to divide the students, in the FAQ and in the Help of dividing students by categories.

If you want to combine Stem (what is this?) with Life Skills, you could create a subject S-LS, add an activity for S-LS, both Stem teacher and Life Skills teacher, all the students. Otherwise you need to divide the students by categories in an intelligent way (please read how to divide).

Sorry, I'm not good at analysis. More simply I want to divide the number of students 10A1,10A2, and 10A3,10A4 and 10A5 into 2 groups respectively group 1, group 2 and group 3, group 4 and group 5, group 6 respectively.
8:00 am to 10:00 am on Mondays: groups 1,3,5 study Japanese and groups 2,4,6 learn English.
8:00am to 10:00am Tuesday: Groups 1,3,5 study Japanese and groups 2,4,6 study experiential activities+Life skills
What is the most reasonable solution here?

Liviu Lalescu

Maybe you mean like in the attached file. See the time constraints, the activities, the years/groups/subgroups, and in the years check how I divided year 10A by categories (click Divide year by selecting categories).

If 10A1 and 10A2 are a group of 40 students:
At the same time 8:00 to 9:00 on Mondays, there are 20 students studying Japanese and 20 students studying English
similarly 8:00 to 9:00 on Wednesdays there are 20 students studying Japanese and 20 students studying math. Can I share the same as yours?

Liviu Lalescu

Year 10A.

2 categories.

Category 1: (1, 2).
Category 2: (Japanese, English-Math).

I followed your suggestion. Did you see the attached file to see if I did it correctly? Thank you Liviu for everything

Liviu Lalescu

Please see my example, Years, Divide years by categories. You did not do like me. You cannot add groups and subgroups directly.

ngoctp29121982

But I have 3 Japanese teachers (t1,t2,t3), 3 teachers of English (t4,t5,t6) and 3 teachers (t7,8,9) teaching 2 subjects of physics + chemistry
Can you help me with my attachments?

Liviu Lalescu

I cannot help you if you don't want to follow my instructions. There are categories and divisions in the students year. Subgroups are independent (not overlapping) and groups are overlapping. Please read more carefully the advice on how to divide students years by categories. It is not very difficult, but you need to work a bit. Each subgroup is the smallest independent entity of students.

If you want, you can show me exactly each individual student, to which groups he belongs, so I can get a better idea. It is not about the teachers, it is about the students. If I see your individual students and the groups they form, I might be able to help you.

I did it your way, but I don't understand where is wrong, can you see the file for me. Thank you

Liviu Lalescu

In my file liviu.fet, go to Years dialog, click Divide year by selecting categories, and see screenshots of how I've done.

Then go to Subgroups dialog and see how the overlapping groups and independent subgroups appear.

It might be a bit different what you exactly need, but the idea is the same.

It's true that your adding is faster. Please let me know how I can create such fet file

Liviu Lalescu

Enter Years, add year, on this year click Divide year by selecting categories, increase categories to 2 and add each category by the Add button.
