Hello,

I've been exploring the features of the FET timetabling software for a few months and find it quite impressive. I have two interconnected questions that I hope you can help me with:

1. Second Split on the Same Start Time as the First One
My university has a preference for multiple instances of the same activity to commence at the same time as the first one on other days. For example, if FET schedules first activity of Intro to Psychology on Monday at 10:00 AM, its second instance must also occur at 10:00 on whichever day the FET schedules it. Currently, FET doesn't seem to consider or prioritize the same time for additional instances of the same activity. Is there an option to configure this preference in the software?

2. Controlling Maximum Day Gap between Instances
Another preference at my university is to maintain at least a one-day gap between two instances of the same activity. While I can set the minimum day gap through the activities dialog box, I couldn't find an option to limit the maximum day gap. Presently, FET adheres to the minimum gap but might place the second instance on the last day of the week, even if the first instance occurs on first day of the week. Is there a way to control the maximum day gap between two instances of the same activity?

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my inquiries.

Hello, Lecturer @aleem.ashraf ,

Thank you for your interest! It is nice to see FET used in Pakistan.

The answers are easy:

1. Constraint activities same starting hour (any days).

2. Constraint max days between activities.

:)

As a personal request, please consider or recommend financial support for FET. It is completely free software and only in this way it gets supported.
