How do dummy activities for students work, with regard to general constraints?

Say I have these succesions of activities:
- A1 - dummy - end of day. Does this count as a building change?
- A1 - dummy- A2 - end of day. How many building changes, if A1 and A2 take place in different buildings?
- Is A1 - dummy - dummy - A2 any different in this regard from A1 - dummy - A2?

Thanks!

If dummy has unspecified room (has no space constraints), it is not counted as a building change.

1) no
2) 1 building change
3) same as 2)

I understand. But none of these succesions (2 and 3) are possible, if I put at least one gap for student building change, right?

You are wrong. They are possible. The building for dummy is unspecified, so it is a gap. This is exactly the way it should be, or is it not ?:-)

I only think, I am not 100% sure, better try with a very small sample. But this is what I remember I did in FET.

Please let me know.

You are right.

I made a sample with 1 working day, 10 intervals, , one subgroup, 10 activities (8 real and 2 dummies), with 2 buildings (4 activities in each).

I specified max 1 building change, at least one gap for building change.

It worked - there is a dummy between the two activities that represent the building change.

(I could attach a print-screen, but I guess that my word is enough;))

Thank you very much!
