We have put a snapshot. From the ChangeLog:

  - Added an option to save the data file for a selection of days, after generating a timetable (suggested by Vangelis Karafillidis). The activities placed in the unselected days will be deactivated.
  - Added 'teachers not available'/'activities preferred time slots' constraints' import/export from/to a CSV file (suggested by Vangelis Karafillidis, Fritzlang, TongThanhKieu, and Steffen Schiedek, and maybe by other users in the past).
  - Minor improvement: we now check that the number of students of a students set is greater or equal to zero when reading a data file (potential bug reported by Yush Yuen). Also, if the number of students is specified for an activity, we also check that it is greater or equal to zero.
  - Minor improvement: if an activity has a specified number of students, the fet data file will contain the field 'Number_of_Students' instead of 'Number_Of_Students', to use the same capitalization as the corresponding years', groups', and subgroups' fields.
  - Minor improvement: the 'Generate multiple' menu item is now placed immediately under the 'Generate new' menu item, and before the 'View' menu items.

I am sorry, but it is practically impossible for FET to allow only a number of hours from a set, or only an even number of hours, per day, for a teacher or a students set. But I added your suggestion in the TODO.

I firstly had to rename your subgroups in my file, because my computer will not show those special characters.

Then, I removed some students groups and obtained a smaller impossible file. Please examine it!

I think it is impossible because you made the exact choices of students and teachers. You might need to give flexibility to the program. Maybe you need to read about the 'Block planning' mode. You have also some examples for this mode. Maybe also you need to all the program to group the students differently. This is unfortunately a bit more complicated, you need to use tricks.

Or you might use the 'Official' mode, but using other kind of organizing the data and allowing the program to choose the exact grouping of students and the teachers for them.

I will add your suggestion in the TODO.

Questions/answers:

1. "large number of" - what large number of? Teachers?

2. What means to group the teachers? Like the students, but only with two levels? Or just to make teachers of a certain category be adjacent? You could use the Up/Down buttons in Teachers dialog, and even add the name of the category as a dummy teacher, before the group of teachers (as I learned from @yush ).

On Wednesday, 5 August 2026, we released FET-7.9.5. From the ChangeLog:

  - Added simple filters of type 'Contains text' for the lists of teachers, students, and activity tags, in the Add activity dialog (suggested by gerben).
  - Added an option to embed the CSS code in the HTML files (suggested by Volker Dirr). In this way, some programs will import better the HTML timetables.
  - Minor interface bug fix (reported by poetasandaluces): for the constraints of type (sub)activities preferred starting times/time slots and activities begin/end/begin or end teachers'/students' day which did not affect any activity, FET reported an error in the data file; but this was simply a useless constraint (but FET still won't begin the generation in such a case, and you need to modify/deactivate/remove these useless constraints - just that the information message is now clearer and not so alarming).
  - Added a new Uzbek translation, by Ulugbek Tulakov, who is the new translator (he was assisted by artificial intelligence).
