I have just switched from windows to ubuntu, but there the version available is 5.11 whereas my windows version was 5.13 how to get latest version I have tried adpet manager

The best is to compile by yourself. See README file.

Another possibility would be to search the Internet for newer pre-compiled FET for other GNU/Linux distributions (I know 5.14.3 is available for openSuse GNU/Linux).

1- install qt4 + gcc  .

2- download fet from her :  http://lalescu.ro/liviu/fet/download.html#1

3- unzip  fet (in home) then past this code in termaenal :   cd fet 5.14.3        + Enter

4- then past :    qmake fet.pro                          + Enter

5- then past :    make                                  + Enter

6- wait from 30 min  ~  2 hours  to compiling fet.
